Hi P.Robbie,

I'm sorry, but the current releases of Android do not support ad-hoc networks on a system level. So there's nothing I could do on application side to add support for this. So WiFi Buddy can show ad-hoc networks but it will not be able to connect to it. I'd wish to have it myself but it is not possible using stock Android phones. :(

Best regards,
André

wanted to start off by saying thanks this is great and the only app i have found that will even recognize an ad hoc network. and i was wondering if you were planning on making wifi buddy able to connect to an ad hoc network and if not is there a way that you can tell me that would be a great help and once again thanks this is great.

No, I'm sorry. That functionality is not available yet. I had so many plans with improving WiFi Buddy but my time is very limited at the moment... :( A new release of Puzzle Blox is in the pipe and I'm working nearly full-time on two other biiiiig projects currently.

Please update to WiFi Buddy 0.9.5 (available in the Android Market, 3rd party app stores and on my web site). This should fix your issues. I'm very sorry for the trouble the last update caused.

Best,
André
